Cheers for the advice guys!!! Shocked at the amount of money it costs for a belt change. I know its a cow to work with a KV6 in the bay (If I'm not mistaken, back timing belts are the worst to play with).

How dificult is it todo yourself really? I'm not a great mechanic, but always happy to take time todo things correctly.

there no tax or mot but putting one on in the next few days
as it has been parked up so i cant drive her

got my belts done just before Xmas, cost £450 not including the water pump, on a MK1 ZS 180 with 77k on the clock....
