Gear Knobs & Back Lights

Hey people

Couple of things to start off with!!

First off my gear knob keeps comming off!! Looks like someone has already tried to pack it out so Was wondering if anybody knows a permament fix?

Second off The back light where the milage is shown is very dull. Again, anyone know a fix?

Cheers People

Whatever you do with the gearknob will need to be reversible in case you need to remove at any time. So gluing or resin is a non starter. Maybe a soldering iron inside to roughen up the surface may be enough to make it stay and a tighter fit?
