What a good price!

I can't grumble at mine, around the ?400 mark but that is with full mods declared and all of my NCB is on the Landy. The zed has about 4 years on it.

i swear, i have been lied to as a young lad!

for many years i have been told that the older i get (or to be more precise, once i reach 25) and the more NCB i accumilate (4 years plus) then my car insurance will get cheaper!

but every year the insurance companies try to charge me more... and every year i have to complain to get it back to my original quote...

when i first got the car it was ?550 fully comp at the age of 21 with 2 years NCB... now im 25 with 6 years NCB and its STILL ?550....

I'm 28 with 10 years NCB.. got it down to ?466 this year...

It is a lot to do with your Postcode though... Live in a nice area, Insurance drops, live in a sh1thole and your insurance sky rockets...

My ZR160 renewal came in last month. ?500+!!!! Last year... ?190!!!
I rang them, Lancaster, and asked why the massive increase?
Are you still unemployed?
Yes was the answer.
That is why then was their reply!!!
To say I was stunned is an understatement. I shopped around and got it for ?250 ish.
Ripping off B******s!!!!!!!!!!
BTW
I am a lot older than most of you and have maximum no claims but it seems that means nothing to these bloodsuckers!!!!
Merry Christmas to all. (Well nearly all??)

Fantastic summary of the Insurance Industry!!!!!!!

thank god we only sell Home Insurance!!!!!

but several correct assumptions on here around Postcode etc.

I think actuallly the pricing teams have a lottery machine and the first three numbers that come up make up your price!!!!!

i wouldnt be suprised!

my favurite is when an insurance company phones you to tell you "your insurance is up for renewal".... and then when i say "is it?"... they respond with "isnt it?"... so i say "i dont know!".... so then they say... "oh well we will call you back some other time"....

whats the deal? do they actully have some database with some info on it? or do they just have a list of numbers and wing it? LOL

Lots of companies use the motor insurance database to get their calling strategies from however they don't take into account any special offers like 14 for 12 or three months free etc
