you'd probably be better going to RoverTech as they seem to be more people from the T-16's lurking on there.
but in theory it is all dependant on the brand of the turbo, and the way they mate up to 3 things:
a) exhaust manifold
b) oil feeds
c) downpipe
I have had the tubo on my derv upgraded* to take 360 degree bearings, and as a result it is OE fitment still.
* it has had more than just that doing to it, but that was part of the job
