MGs on track at Castle Combe

Went to the MGs on track day at Castle Combe yesterday, great day! Was the only ZS running so hope i didn,t let the side down to much!lol Shoot some video on the day:

My standard brake discs and pads need replacing now they were already on the way out but are very dead now! What would people recommend as a replacement? Car isn,t a out and out track car and is driven on the road 99% of the time. Was thinking of either ebc disks and red stuff pads or black diamond discs and pads all round? Can,t afford the big brake kits at this stage.

Great video there, looks like you had a brilliant time.
Think the standard brakes are usually whats recommended to be good enough for general purpose- Brakes international are supposed to be good suppliers.

No, one gearchange per lap, blinked and you might miss it

Looked like a leisurely drive!

As for brakes keep them OE quality, no need for upgrading unless serious track use is on the cards frequently. I still use OE as they do okay. If running open pitlane you can easily overheat them due to wanting to go out all of the time but timed sessions allow for cooling down periods.

A change of fluid helps, 5.1 is always a good move.

Thanks for that will order standard discs and pads but change the fluid to 5.1.

Was my first time at Combe so wasn,t looking to test the limits of grip just learning the lines and having fun!
Felt abit more confident as the day went on, this session was near the end of the day.

Would highly recommend MGs on track for anyone looking for some trackday action.
