Angry MGZS 180 Boot Lid

Hi,

Does anyone have any suggestions for fixing the dropping boot lid on a zs 180, have tried changing the torsion bar positions but still drops!!!

i think theres stroner springs for bootlids with spoilers maybe, also check your spoiler isnt full of water(remove the lower bolt and itll drain

have checked spoiler for water and is dry, any suggestions where i could get stronger springs??

You might need these if you have a model where the spoiler has been fitted after leaving the factory. They are stronger springs. Had to fit them to my Mk1.

Uprated trunk lid springs - part numbers. Think they were about ?70 from X-part or you could ask for them from someone breaking one.

R/H = BMK160060
L/H = BMK160070

?70!!!!!!!!!

Get some gas struts from scrappy, couple of hours and you'll have them done.

Or for free, a bit of wood to increase the twist on the torsion bars.

Thanks for your help guys, think i might go down the gas strut route, other than the megane any other suggested doner car that anyone can think off?
