I've had Nangkangs and they were bloody dangerous. No feel at all and would jest let go in spectacular fashion with no warning and at it seems any speed.

I had the back end let go at 70mph on a fairly gentle slip road in the dry and a total lack of all grip on a roundabout in damp conditions doing about 15mph.

I've heard of similar stories, so it's well documented how terrible they are

Never ever again

(Wrong size I know but you get the idea)

I bought them as a budget winter tyre when we had the really bad snow in 2009 with the aim of just having them on over the winter, but they have surpassed all my expectations and 20k miles later they're still on the car. I like them so much that after last winter I never bothered taking them off and they've been on constantly for well over a year now.

Great wear, fantastic wet weather grip and really progressive in the dry. Unusually for the type of tyre they're quite quiet too

To prove how impressed I was with them I put a set on the front of my van when they were due to be replaced a year later - and even in 19" form they were fantastic. Shame the 19" versions were £105 a tyre!

I can't see me putting anything else on the Astra for the foreseeable future
Yeah Ross, Ive had these on the previous Astra too, they are a great budget tyre and yes they are part of the Continental Group.

However, National Tyres has an offer on where you can buy 1 Tyre, but pay for the 2nd valve etc and get the 2nd Tyre free, the offer isnt a good deal when you get other prices from other suppliers, just beware, also a good tyre to get is the GT Radial made by Dunlop Goodyear, and also Vredestein Cento Ultra, good price also.

No 5hit, mine has a rock hard ride now compared to the ride before the 40's went on the front, and the ZS is a hard ride anyway.

To not de-rail this thread, would Kirk and/or Mattie mind describing this lurching over here?
http://www.themgzs.co.uk/vb/showthre...d=1#post300555

Don't go to the link in that thread, it links to this one but I don't want to go off topic.
