driver seat belt buckle
hi guys long time since i posted,my zs is toiling with all this snow at the mo,but my biggest prob is the seat belt buckle(female) while driving,all of a sudden the clasp popped out and wont now stay in,is it an easy replacement job? cheers in advance

probably get one from a scrappy mate,is it bolted on to the seat,i cant remember

yes its bolted to the seat as far as i can see,had a look inside and put a magnet inside it,but nowt fowling it,was not sure if its connected in any way to airbags etc,if not then i will replace it myself.

been on the blower today looking for a female seat belt buckle with no luck,anybody know where i can get one,getting desperate now,snow approaching!

Mate try some wd 40 or something down it the one on my car done something similar during last winter and a wee spray sorted it right oot

done that m8 as far as i can see under the red tab is a spring sticking slightly out,i compared it to the passenger side and it looks like the bit that sits on the spring has gone to the bottom,think its unsavable,doin ma nut in

The seat belt pretensioner on the ZS is built into the coil at the bottom of the B post so it is safe to change the buckle on the seat without worring about SRS system.
Any Rover 45 or ZS will definatly be a suitable doner, possibly a 400 as well.
Rover 25/MGZR is not suitable, the pretensioner is in the buckle!
Have you tried pressing the release button, on an old car I had it used to stick down sometimes, might also be worth using some WD40.
Until you get it fixed can you plug the belt into the passanger buckle?

i had another go at it today,its definitely goosed,im driving with it in the passenger buckle at the mo but the wife is no happy,cheers Smokey i will take you up on that
