Petrol Warning light in a mk1?

Random question, but where is the petrol warning light on the Mk1 Dials?

I was told it has one but can't find anything about it in the handbook, and i can't see one illuminate when the ignition is turned.

Thanks

Thought this was mk2 only?

Might sound daft but are you low on fuel? Because if your not its not going to show anyway

I would assume its just under the clocks, but it never lights up. I've ran well into the red before, so much the needle barely even registers on the dial.

Maybe ive just not ran the petrol that low before. I've gone for ages in the red and the needle has barely registered. I just assume theres no warning light, get scared and fill up (usually after ive got about 280 miles from the tank)
