Just saw this,Actual performance gains refer to different exhaust brand

Actual performance gains will vary from vehicle to vehicle. Below is an illustrative example of a test carried out on a Citroen Saxo VTR by 'REVS' magazine. You will notice that Powerflow did not need to remove the catalytic converter from the vehicle to produce the joint - highest power increase. The Powerflow system also produced a better torque improvement than its nearest rival. The rest of the figures speak for themselves.

You cant read into that too much imo, different exhaust are different for different cars. Just because it works on a Saxo, doesnt mean it'll work like that on ZS.

I've heard powerflow aren't great either, never had one, but i've seen the pictures of one. Their bends in the pipe are awful!

From experience the Janspeed gives the best gains for the ZS, plus since they were the affiliated with MG when they were still in business all the bits bolt straight on.

I had Janspeed manifolds and sports cat on my old ZS and it gave about 5bhp when combined with an air filter similar to your BMC when it was tested on the rolling road

KevG now has my old system and his ZS regularly makes over 200bhp

However I doubt I'll ever buy another "bolt on" kit, since then I've had 3 custom exhausts made by local specialists and they probably give the same results, you get to customise exactly how they look and sound - and more importantly they are usually about the same price or cheaper than an off the shelf system.

Powerflow is a franchise so you really need to do research into which dealers have monkeys and which have professional exhaust builders. I get all my exhausts made by Top Gear in Aylesbury (although not on the zs yet) and they make excellent quality there. Also give good advice too. When I had them make me a decat system for my 300zx the told me that the Turbo seals would go with a decat but I said do it anyway and a few months later they went (didnt matter as i wanted gt28r's anyway) but most garages wouldn't have said this.

Seconded, my local franchise, RSR in Redhill know their onions! I have 2 systems built there and they are both exactly as I asked for.
