Had my car in the company workshop today. Hooked it to the diagnostic machine and came back completely clear with no fault codes. Tech took it for a drive and checked the VIS valves. Said all good, ignore the rattle as he has heard ones alot worse and he said it doesn't appear to be affecting the driving of it. However there was a slight blow from exhause on the last flange where it mates to the backbox.
£60 later and a new center section fitted. Sounds and runs spot on. He confirmed that I had 'a bargain'!
Now to really drive it!
