Filter In Wing Added Today!

Well decided to do this today as Blair was coming up so we could swap front mesh's. Was pretty easy tbh. I will make a HOW TO but it might be different for the 180.

Here is my work today:

Firstly I removed the front bumper (not as hard as i thought) Thanks to Kev for once again manning his phone and helping me...

Then once I disconnected the old set up and removed the standard cold air feed I just connected it to the pipercross...

Once I get more funds I will get the stainless piping and silicone bends. I cant afford it at the minute so the proper CAF piping will need to do I took the measurements so I know what to get now.

Lastly I cut the fake air vent in the bumper out...

Need to file the edge but thats a job for the daylight. Was dark nearly when I finished.

Sounds amazing!!! and i dont know if i imagined it but it did seem slightly smoother and more responsive

Job Done!

Did you cut the vent out of the bumper from the front or the back, with the bumper on or off??.I have got some fine black mesh to cover this but want to find the easiest way to cut the vent out first.

Hello Jim, I did it with the bumper off, from the back, it is pretty thin soft plastic and it cut with a stanley knife. I am also gonna get some mesh aswell. I think it could be done with a knife from the front but as i had it off i did it then

you going for the cone in the wing aswell?

Looks good.
I would be a bit concerned about water getting to the filter though.....
