My ex Rover 400 Saloon

Since i don't have the car anymore i still want to share the pics with you all.

It was a Rover 416Si Saloon from 1997 which i bought in 2003 with 81000 kms
it had all options with leather seats and cruise control & airco
I had it from feb 2003 until 28 may 2011 and i made a lot of changes to it and im most proud that i could find a MK2 rear boot & bumper here in NL and have it fitted on my Rover 400.

ok enough talking
enjoy the pics which are sorted by year :

2003 :

2004:

2005:

2006:

2007:

2008:

and before i sold it it looked like this :

Before :

After

lots of good pics.

strikes me that euro is different to the uk, round here you wouldnt get away with the spoiler you had fitted.

shame the brakes look so small under the multispokes.

other than that. a+

thanks for the nice reactions

about the spoiler :

This one was very ugly and back in the days i have never saw the MK2 ZS spoiler before here in NL

then i bought this one :

and photoshopped how it would look like with a clean bootlid

and here i tried it again :

but i didnt want to make holes in my nice bootlid so the spoiler is still laying around in the garage.

with the R45 i want to use original MG Rover parts only and not spoilers like the above

There is an old Rover 600 running around locally with the same spoiler as the original, it's on at least it's 3rd owner since being fitted.

As said, lot of work gone into the car, certainly looked the biz when you had finished.

Bet you are sorry you sold it!!!!

yes i sometimes still miss my car.
The sound of those exhaust was nice to hear every morning
but it was old and i needed a diesel car for work.

I always wanted a MG ZS MK2 but those are very expensive here in NL
That's why i bought the R45 MK2
My project will be changing the R45 MK2 with the outside looks of a MG ZS MK2 180

here you have a short film of the sound of my old Rover 400:
