The new project is restoring an MG Maestro turbo, number 316. I used to have number 237 but sold it in 2004 when my insurance was too too much.

Always missed it, and the ZS never really live up to it.

........................ZS180..................... .........Maestro turbo

BHP.....................175....................... .......150
torque (nm)..........240..............................229
weight (kg)...........1285..............................1 170
top speed.............139............................. .130
0-60.....................7.3........................ ......6.7
30-50 in 4th...........6.0..............................6.9
50-70 in 4th...........6.0..............................5.8

on paper the zs should be better really, but it just doesnt have that feeling, the feeling ofr being able to blow most hot hatchs of the road with a car that juast before it happened, they were looking down on.

The zs is relisted on ebay, at auction. Starting price of £4300. A bargin.

Ah yes, the Tickford conversion, I must admit to having a soft spot for them.

Very happy today, my car is now not for sale.

Shorted out some stuff and now dont have to finish my Masetro turbo project for some time, so dont need the cash so quick.

I have to say that i would have missed the Zs but now i can have both, which is a bonus.
