Tyre blowout!
Stuck at the side of the M1 in the snow, tyre just suddenly started to wobble then a nasty burning smell. Called recovery, waited for an hour and they phoned to say they couldn't find me in Yorkshire. I'm near Milton Keynes....!

Just got in, recovery took nearly 3 hours though so not best pleased. Tyre has split at the rim so feel quite lucky. Just got home and there's a powercut so having a great evening!

I had a blowout down the a127 at 60mph, sideways and brown trousers were involved! Lucky tho as I had been doing a ton on the m25 just beforehand.

Scary stuff Matt, luckily the tyres gave me some warning moments before. I was cruising at around 60, put my foot down to get past a lorry then bang! Ive never seen a tyre smoke and be red hot like mine was earlier. It was a Avon ZZ3thats done about 35000miles so not done bad.

All the potholes about, wonder we dont hear more stories like this.
Bit of a pain but could have been so much worse.
One thing I was told, never hit your brakes, just ease off and pull over.
Remember going down our Spur road, car went flying by with a tyre smoking, flashed him but he didnt slow. Then his tyre exploded, he was OK just pulled over onto the verge.
