Wandering Steering

For a while now my steering has been wandering and when going over bumps gets pulled left and right, also the steering and handling don't feel that direct.

Had all the suspension and the bits and bobs check by the garage when it had its mot and they found nothing wrong.

I'm left scratching my head. Could it be the tyres they are Avons?

I also saw a post on facebook saying Vulcan racing found a worn bush connecting the steering rack to the car can cause the rack to move about causing the above symptoms. Although i'm not sure if this bush is available yet. http://www.powerflex.co.uk/road-seri...ush/11349.html

You had it tracked up. all these pot holes arnt good.

Springs and shocks all good??

I wouldn't have thought the tyres would be the problem, Avons have a pretty good rep, if you were using ling long ditchfinders then yeah maybe.

I've noticed the same myself recently. Pulls left or right now and again.
I'm running on Kuhmos tho they are getting ready to be changed pretty soon do that's mybe my problem.

You arnt both using motorways where the trucks are doing the road surface in.

MG F/TF's are known to tramline in the lorry tracks.

A proper 4 wheel alignment and make sure pressures are set

Its all surfaces, even the brand new tarmac on the m25 around my j24

Get it tracked, if still the same see what your wishbone bushes are like. Not that easy to check visually. May have to get a breaker bar in there and see if there's excess movement. Do you get much body roll on high speed bends?
