Am i being silly or are there holes beside the stud holes? What are they for?

Is it me or are they exactly the same as the ZS straights with no centre cap?

Those look like multi-fitment type, 100mm and 108mm PCD perhaps. However the second set of holes look way too close to the first set, not much wall thickness there.

That's what made me wonder why they were there.... Not the best way to have done it i would've thought.

Speaking from an engineering point of view I would say they were too close to fatigue there considering the wall thickness and crushing load applied by the nuts.
