Head bolts

Does any one no what the torque setting are for the head bolt for v6 iv been told very important to do then to the right torque

•Tighten cylinder head bolts progressively in the sequence illustrated to: XXXXX XXXXX25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Stage 2-25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Stage 3-25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Stage 4-Using an angle torque gauge, tighten bolts in the same sequence to 180°.


I checked two more databases and the procedure/specification is the same so working from experience if you increase the torque by 18 ftlbs each stage you are at 54 ftlbs before you turn the final 180 degrees.



Sorry I did not include the intake manifold in the first post

Please mate if you could double check for me Ud be star soon as iv got the settings I can put the head on.i need start putting her back together just bolt and wires everywhere,top geza

I have just been told from rover centre the head bolts torque settings are
25nm leave to rest half hour
Re torque 25nm leave to rest half hour
Then torque at 90 degrees
And torque again at 90 degrees
