Erdington MG and Rover specialists

Do you like the ring to it?

I have a company reg number and my VAT number
And now I even have my service stamp, and the service shedule sheets, so I know what has to be done when.

All I need now, is a customer base.

Preferably all gorgeous women

RicksbitZ, was my first customer, but it's difficult trying to get off teh ground when you are out of the house for 12 hours a day.

All fine and well until NAC MG or Ford (if they still have the Rover name) prosecute you for use of their trademark. BMW did this to several companies when they took over Rover.

I haven't used any logo or trade mark.

In my daytime job at Nissan, I have 3 international patents, and am very familiar with legal challenges for "prior art" and corporate infringements.

I was 20 years ago involved in setup of one of the original Mercedes specialists.

Mercedes UK had us interviewed by the legal team that represent them, and we were ok due to 1 factor, on all reciepts, service stamps and business stationary, you have to have the word "independent" when you refer to your self or your services.

I have run everything past a guy called Matt Holmes, he is Nissan's global corporate lawer, and good friend of mine. he tells me I am mr squeeky clean.

Nissan have independent specialists working on customers cars in Europe, and so long as they follow our (Nissan's) service check schedules, we still have to honour the Nissan warranty.

A company called Roverline had several undercover visits from BMW shortly after they took over the MG & Rover brands. They surreptitiously took pictures of the business premises, business cards, headed paper, etc. A couple of weeks later they received a communication from BMW's lawyers. Roverline had to change their company name and desist from using the logos. Whether any out of court settlement took place I don't know.

Obviously, you are quite versed in the dangers and pitfalls of passing off and infringement of trademarks.

Easy, He's our Lawyer.

I don't use any logo, I just claim to be an Independent Rover and MG servicing facility.
