Any way of cleaning out the inlet manifold?
Well the catch tank has been on for about 2000 miles now and caught a fair amount of oil. Which means a fair bit has gone into the manifold. If I remove it is there a way of cleaning it out of all the **** and oil thats gonna be in there?
Id rather clean it than leave it!
thanks in advance

There is no way of cleaning it thoroughly due to its sealed design.

the way i cleaned out my mates inlet manifold on his mk1 zs 180 was to completely remove it from the vehicle and soak it in parts cleaning fluid and shake it about a little to clean out the inside

Having opened up three plenums it will stay caked regardless of what you soak it in, it is the proverbial **** to a blanket! Too many crevices inside so cleaning is a pita.

no you are not going to waste your time as i removed my mates inlet manifold back in 2007 on 30000 miles and now the car is 70000 miles and he still gets the kick at three thousand revs and it has not affected the grease on the valves thats if there is any one on them in the first place

my old zs had covered 70,000 and had not been looked after atall by the previous owner. no belts and only 1 service in its life. hence why i got rid of it and ended up with my current one. i went every bit aswell as my current 180 with 26k
